Bethnal Green Road Over The Years (4)

Its amazing to think that Bethnal Green Road was just farmland until the later 18th century. By 1836 there were 1,163 houses north of Bethnal Green Road and 1,976 to the south. I wonder what a visitor from the 18th century would think of the road today. I have walked up and down the road for nearly forty years and in that time it has changed radically.
