Tower 42

July 27, 2012

Tower 42 was officially opened in 1981 as the National Westminster Tower. It’s been a permanant feature on the horizon from where I live. It is now joined by many other tall buildings. These photographs tell a story of quieter days when it was the king of the London Skyline.

Some really cool photos. Quite an iconic building of it’s time really, but you’re right, there are just more and more random high rises popping up everywhere now. I hope they don’t keep building like crazy – it’s crowded enough as an area goes without them crowding out the light from the sky too!
