Synergy

One of the great things about photography is that a single frame can unite individuals who are never likely to communicate with each other or even see each other. The moment in time below was captured on Osbourne Street leading into Brick Lane. A synergy is created between the two subjects by virtue of their synchronised use of mobile phones and demeanour. The woman is probably talking to someone who will come into her vision further up the road at any moment. The man hurries along as if to meet the person he is speaking to. The two have a commonality yet will probably never meet. Photography can be a great unifier of human kind; perhaps this photograph illustrates this point.
