High on Gas
January 20, 2012
I’ve always thought that gigantic gas holders have an innate beauty. Rapidly disappearing they are becoming a rarity to be cherished.
What a difference a bit of motion can make to an image. The gas holder below was captured at dawn from a moving train.
The bollards and street light in this photograph (above) appear to be saluting the gas holders whilst the brick wall appears to be cracking up – perhaps in awe of its Victorian iron neighbours.
