Taken thirty years ago these photographs celebrate the exhilaration which children can derive from a street and a football. The little girl was clearly the team boss!

That’s my nephew standing next to the girl. It’s outside Chicksand House facing the football pitch. Behind them next to the houses was a factory but its been made into new developments.
