Corbyn In Liverpool

September 3, 2018

Jeremy Corbyn arrived at Liverpool Lime Street station this morning to support Labour’s plan to bring our railways into public ownership. Jeremy was calm in the face of hostile questioning from BBC radio and TV. They weren’t in the least bit interested in the way the Tories are failing to stand up for millions of passengers. Niether were they interested in Labour’s plans to invest in our railways, cap fairs and provide more reliable services. All they wanted to do was echo the narrative of a small minority who claim the party is full of bullies and “extremists”. It’s amazing how Jeremy manages to deal with such hostility on a daily basis. When he was finished with the media interviews he enjoyed talking to local party members and got on the train to Manchester to do the same all over again. What a campaigner!
