Flying Angels
November 22, 2011
Built in the 15th Century the church of Holy Trinity at Blythburgh is best known for its flying angels that perch on the nave roof.
The brightly coloured and restored angels have a touch of the ‘Harry Potter’ about them. Staring at them above your head one feels they might fly down at any moment and whisper in your ear. There is nothing scary about these angels and if they were to whisper in your ear it would be just to tell you where you could find the finest pint of real ale not to far from the church.
