Liverpool Premiere Of Pensioners United Tonight

The Liverpool premiere of ‘Pensioners United’ is tonight at the Plaza cinema in Waterloo. The film features the campaigns and observations of inspirational pensioners from Liverpool and the East End of London. Also featured in the film is veteran campaigner Harry Leslie Smith and the late Tony Benn. If you are aged 60 or over you can see the film free as long as you turn up to the cinema between 6:30 – 45pm today. Details are here: Pensioners United.

The film features the campaign to save the Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

NHS campaigner, Sam Semoff, who sadly died earlier this year is interviewed in the film. Pensioners United is dedicated to the memory of Sam.

The film covers the RMT dispute to keep the guards on the trains.
