The first picture is in fact Berwick Street Market Soho, you can see the “Kool” of Daddy Kool Records which remaind at the same location until early 00’s. Was known for the most unhelpful owner Keith ! A reggae music specialist known globally for both the selection available and the moody owner. I frequented for many years especially on a wednesday as it was Keith’s day off ! Former employees now ply their trade in walthamstow market. There was also a record Label of the same name and released such hits as “Rainbow Country” by Bob Marley. “Java” by Augustus Pablo and “Earth Wind & Fire” by Paul Blackman. There was a Jamaican “Rockers” connection via the late great Mr Swaby himself. Nice one Phil for capturing a piece of UK Reggae history !
