On The Bus In Liverpool (9)
Very occasionally I find myself with my camera in front of something extraordinary. From the top of a bus I photographed this magnificent woman with her walking stick waiting for the bus. She seems to be from a different era. If you were to strip away the younger women with their mobile phones and shopping bags you could imagine the photograph was taken many decades ago. However I think it would be wrong to ascribe a date last century to her because she has a timeless quality. Her face speaks of boundless experience and wisdom. In the few seconds I took this series of images her facial expressions hinted at a matriarch who transcends the digital universe and idle chatter. Perhaps she has seen everything there is to see in life.
