The Art Of Collage (2)

This is not really a collage because it is a straight photograph of torn & randomly placed posters taken on Brick Lane in 2002. I think of it as an ‘accidental collage’. I’ve reworked this original image several times as a collage with other images.

Collage made in 1999 using a combination of photographs taken in Brick Lane.

A collage of Brick Lane using images seperated by 20 years. 2011.

A variation on the theme above. 2011.

Collage made from an image of a torn poster (Brick Lane 2004) and a photograph taken of a family walking on Brick Lane in 1983. The fragment of the family was a darkroom ‘test strip’. I used to keep my test strips (always torn bits of photographic paper) as I thought they might be useful for collage in future years. 2016.
