When you use a mobile phone on the street you tend to cut yourself off and travel without any pleasure. A considerable percentage of people I photograph seem to be on their mobile phones all the time.

I was last in Bangladesh in 2009. I must have visited there about six times. It is a fascinating place for a photographer and the people are very welcoming and generous. Here are some photographs I’ve taken there in the last 20 years.

Whitechapel Over 30 Years

I’ve been photographing Whitechapel for over 30 years. During that time I’ve seen a lot of changes to the environment but strangely people appear to remain the same. Photographs I have taken recently often remind me of photographs I took decades ago.
