Nantes Cathedral Of St Peter & St Paul

The construction of Nantes cathedral began in 1434, on the site of a Romanesque cathedral, and took 457 years to finish, finally reaching completion in 1891. I photographed the cathedral when I was at the Nantes film festival for the screening of the film ‘East One’ which I made with Hazuan Hashim.

A Wake

With the recent sad departure of my mother, Mary Maxwell, my family and I had cause to revisit Quinlan’s Pub in Tralee. Following the funeral everyone gathered in Quinlan’s for an impromptu ‘wake’. We were able to remember her and drown our sorrows at the same time. We gave her a good send off as can be seen from these photographs.
