Liverpool 1980
The photograph below was taken in Liverpool 8 in 1980. In the distance you can see the Anglican cathedral. The boy on the bike appeared from nowhere as I pressed the shutter making it a more interesting image. In the 70s and early 80s this area was an accidental ‘adventure playground’ for children. There were plenty of empty spaces and derelict buildings to explore. The roads were a safer place for cyclists.
