The former MP Jo Richardson with Harriet Harman outside number 10 Downing Street. This photograph was taken shortly after they delivered a petition to number 10. Labour was in opposition at the time. Jo was interviewed briefly by ITN. Like this photograph (which was never published) the interview was never broadcast. At the time I was freelancing for the magazine ‘Labour Party News’.
Closing Sequence For Peace
A series of shots like the one below formed the closing sequence of our anti war film ‘Not In Our Name‘. Shot in Bangalore the garish lights of the road are diminished once they bounce into the Baby Taxi to form a warm and soft illumination: perhaps to suggest that wars can be averted through human endeavour …
Underground Silhouette
These underground shots take advantage of the ‘extreme’ lighting conditions in the station. The conditions created powerful sylhouettes which were enriched by the moving trains.

India’s love affair with the cinema ensures a proliferation of poster imagery on the streets of Mumbai. Below are a few posters / fragments that caught my eye when I was last in Chenai in 2007. My eye is particularly drawn to the accidental juxtapositions of different posters.
