Save Our Health Service
These photographs, taken over 20 years ago, prove the point that since its inception we have had to fight for the NHS. The provision of free health care for all at the point of need is the heart of the welfare state. Current attacks on the NHS are no different in effect than the attacks of former years. All that changes is the language and methods used to turn hospitals into businesses run for profit.
