Support ISS Hospital Workers
Cleaners employed at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospitals have been treated with contempt by the multinational company ISS. The hospitals outsourced the facilities management to ISS who have stripped the work force of basic rights and treated them like beasts of burden to be literally worked to death. The workers provide vital services cleaning hospital wards, transporting patients around hospital departments and cooking for patients, visitors and staff. Yesterday people demonstrated in support of the workers in Clayton Square in Liverpool. Members of the Merseyside Pensioners Association and Unite spoke to members of the public about the plight of the workers and collected hundreds of signatures for a petition which over 7,000 have already signed.
You can support a film I am helping to make about pensioners and their campaigns here: Pensioners United.
Solidarity with our comrades from the Royal Liverpool, Broadgreen University Hospital Trust. ISS Facilities Management can not be allowed to get away with this unscrupulous attack on workers.
