I’ve been going to Sclater Street market for over 35 years. Although it is a shadow of its former self it still has its characters. In recent years half of the market has disappeared and been replaced by luxury flats. How long will it be before the market disappears altogether?

After taking photographs on Bethnal Green Road in June 2016 I went to the Sun pub on the same road. Hazuan Hashim bought me a pint and we settled down in front of the front door; this is what I saw.
