The Faces Of The Battle Of Cable Street
One of the finest events I photographed this year was the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street. Thousands turned up to commemorate the landmark 1936 victory over Oswald Moseley and his Blackshirt fascist thugs. These photographs were taken as people gathered in Altab Ali park to assemble for the march to Cable Street. Tomorrow I will publish the photographs of the rally in Cable Street gardens.

A Walk In The Park
I cleared my head yesterday with a walk in Wavertree park. Surely walking is one of the simplest pleasures in life. These photographs are dedicated to walking and I apologise that there is not a single mobile phone in site!

Xmas Campaign To Save Liverpool Women’s Hospital
Last Wednesday scores of NHS supporters gathered outside the Liverpool Women’s Hospital for a seasonal singalong designed to let the NHS privatisers know that they are carrying on with their campaign. Across the country people are fighting back for the NHS and for maternity care.
