Bishopsgate Goods Yard
The striking arches of the little remaining wall of the former Bishopsgate Goods Yard conspire to reject the trendy regeneration around the new shoreditch station. These two photographs show how the arches sustain those who would never be seen in a Shoreditch ‘Box Park’ shop. Long may they remain.

International Markets
Walking around various markets in the world I can sometimes imagine the world as a huge market place (not in the capitalist sense!) where the market traders all know each other. The demeanour of traders has a similar resonance throughout the world. The gentleman below caught my eye recently at the Sunday market in Spitalfields. I thought the relaxed disposition of the young man in Chittagong market was similar to his older counterpart in Spitalfields.
